Zooming into Spring

Hello Art in Motion Pittsburgh Families and Students.

We miss you so much! How are you these days? We want you to know that we are always thinking about you and hoping you are staying healthy, happy and home.

We have been working on establishing our online classes as well as maintaining our FB live mini classes and we hope you are all enjoying them so far. After one week of Zoom classes, we have a few thoughts:

1. We will be making kids zoom classes to be 30 minutes of dancing with the remainder of the time to talk, to socialize with teacher and friends, and even to show us your pets, etc. This is mainly directed at the younger children as we are finding 45 minutes at home is a tough ask! We also welcome you to invite grandparents with eh zoom code so they can enjoy their loved one’s class!

2. We will be creating a new private facebook group only for current students and parents. We can share videos, crafts, communications with teachers, and anything else you want. We will host a virtual talent show from there in the near future as well. No pressure to contribute…it is a resource for you to enjoy.

3. We think that most likely the month of May will also be on zoom. We do not think the shelter at home order will be lifted but we will wait and see. We are planning for a full summer session now! If we can hold events during summer, we may do so outside once in a while besides in the studio.

4. If you have used Zoom, how do you like it? Do you have any feedback for us? We welcome your thoughts, suggestions and comments.

That is all for now! Please let us know how you are doing!

All our love

Jen and Lucy

PS If you are experiencing financial distress due to COVID-19, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We never want dancing with us to be cost prohibitive. We can work something out together.
