Adult Classes

BELLYDANCE

Bellydance 1 Technique & Training is perfect for adventurous beginners and intermediate/advanced dancers who want to increase body awareness through bellydance technique, conditioning, drills, and combinations. You will shimmy, sweat and smile with us guaranteed! We will incorporate veils and zills (finger cymbals) into class. Don’t worry, we have loaners if you do not have a veil or set of zills! 

Bellydance 2 Combos & Choreography:  In this class we will learn combinations and choreographies at a fast and exciting pace. We will focus less on technique breakdown and more on the total dance. Often times we will incorporate props to create a dynamic and joyful experience. 

Bellydance Brunch is perfect for absolute beginners and intermediate dancers who want to strengthen their technique. You will shimmy, sweat and smile with us and then go grab brunch in the neighborhood!!

Monday Bellydance 1 and  2 classes include a short warm up and stretch, head to toe technique and conditioning, an explanation of what genre we will explore and its cultural/ historical roots, and short combinations that you can take home with you! We will often incorporate zills (finger cymbals) and veils; don’t worry, we have loaners! Class is suitable for ALL levels of experience. Modifications are always offered to accommodate each and every level of dancer. Monday night adult classes work together and students are encouraged to try both hours for the best bellydance experience. We can’t wait to dance with you!

Tap Dance

Tappin’ Technique for Adults with Cindy. Love music? Need to move? This is the class for you! In Tappin’ Technique, we will learn the basics of tap dance, experience different rhythms and throw in a little cardio just for good measure. Whether you have danced before or have always wanted to learn, you will be challenged in this class. If you don’t have tap shoes when the class starts, bring hard soled shoes (not sneakers) to dance in. This class is mixed levels and previous experience is recommended. 

Tap Level 2, Choreo and Combos is a stand alone class and is geared to the intermediate to advanced tapper. For an added challenge, take both hours as this class builds on Tappin’ Technique and take sit to another level.

Tap Primer for Adults.  Our Tap Primer, we will learn the basics of tap dance in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. ⁠ Shuffle, flap, stamp, hop, step. All the basics come together for the complete beginner who has always wanted to learn or those looking to brush up on your technique.⁠

Modern

Adult Modern: Movement & Flow! This class explores sensation in the range of our bodies and forces of the environment. Participants enhance physicality through creative movement meditation and conditioning. We also exercise the mind with energizing and thought provoking ideas for movement phrases. This class challenges strength, endurance, flexibility, and mindfulness through smooth flowing, adaptive dance! *This adult class is highly recreational; no experience required!

Hip Hop

Adult Hip Hop: Rhythm & Power with Simon, Feel the pulse of music and your heart as we exercise rhythmic movements of the full body.  This aerobic class is great fun for all, regardless of level or ability. Join the party in promoting holistic wellbeing by learning basic hip hop steps, exploring rhythms, and embracing individual attitude!

Adult Musical Theater Jazz

Adult Musical Theatre Jazz: Ever dreamed of dancing on Broadway? Love singing along to your favorite musicals? Maybe you don’t like musicals but can’t resist moving your feet to the beat. Whatever the feeling, this class will transport you to the stage with the art of theatre jazz. This is an all-levels jazz class with a theatre twist. Learn the basics of jazz, stage movement, and performance through fun combinations to your favorite musical hits! No experience, singing, or acting required!

Adult Jazz: Soul & Groove

Adult Jazz: Soul & Groove with Simon: Energize the body, relax the mind, and dance the soul with jazz. From blues, funk, pop, to contemporary, this class ranges various jazz styles. Learn inspired movements that encourage technique as well as freedom and personality. This class is for folks to enjoy  grooving to music. All levels welcome

Ballet, Yoga & More

Ballet for Adults. This is a perfect class for those getting started or revisiting ballet! We will focus on alignment, foundation of technique, and movement quality. All skill levels welcome

Flirty Flow, Heels: We’re bringing sexy back with this class that will help you gain confidence, and help you find your personal self-expression. This class is geared to improve your balance, fluidity of movement, coordination, and stability, all while in heels! An eclectic array of music will be used weekly for combinations. Shy girls and guys welcomed, but you won’t be shy for long! Dance heels with ankle support optional, but not required.

Strength & Technique – For dancers at any stage of their journey as well as non-dancers looking for a strength & agility focused workout. 
 
This class will focus on building strength, reviewing technique, and understanding body mechanics to dance safely. We will begin on our mats with conditioning and core work, move through a technical warmup at center, and practice skill drills to increase body awareness in foundational dance moves. 
 
Adults Slow Flow Stretch: Yoga-Inspired Stretch & Recovery
Unwind, reset, and reconnect with your body. This gentle class combines mindful stretching, mobility work, and breath awareness to help you release tension, improve flexibility, and support recovery. Inspired by yoga and designed for all levels, it’s the perfect midweek pause—whether you’re a dancer, desk worker, or just in need of some self-care.
 
Indian & Flamenco: Roots & Rhythm

This class explores the rhythmic and expressive connections between Indian dance forms (classical, folk and film) and Flamenco, the traditional Spanish art form rooted in Romani and Andalusian culture. We will build on technique elements from both – rhythm and hand clapping (palmas), hand gestures and arm movements (mudras, floreo/braceo), facial expression (abhinaya), upper body movement, and footwork (tatkar/adavus, zapateado). Using a mix of Indian and Flamenco music, we will explore movement as a means of emotional expression, grounded power, and graceful presence.

All levels and ages are welcome. Hard-soled or dance shoes are helpful to have at hand for rhythmic footwork. Most importantly, we will dance together in a supportive, encouraging space where everyone is welcome.

 

Kids Classes

Children’s Jazz & Acro Dance

Jazz & Acro ages 6 & up/ ages 9 & up. Students will learn Jazz technique including turns, kicks and leaps while exploring modern and traditional music and rhythms along with fluid acrobatic movements. Jazz & Acro class helps students to increase their strength, control and flexibility. This class features jazz technique, choreographies, and movement games featuring trendy dance steps used for many forms of dance.

Ritmo Kids: Jazz Dance: Ages 8+ | Latin-Inspired Jazz & Rhythms
Get ready to move, groove, and feel the rhythm! This upbeat class fuses jazz dance with Latin and Afro-Caribbean influences to create a high-energy experience full of culture and flair. Dancers will build strong technique while learning fun, rhythm-driven combinations to infectious beats. No passport required—just bring your love of music and movement!

Hip Hop

ages 6 and up. Explore the rhythmic body in this upbeat fusion of house and African dance. Full of playful exercises that move body and mind, this hip class encourages individuality in coolness. No experience required, just a good attitude, boys and girls welcome.

Bellydance & Jazz

Bellydance & Jazz 1, ages 6 & up. Students will learn the basics of bellydance exploring music, movement and rhythms with fun props like finger cymbals, veils and more. This age appropriate class features bellydance and ballet/jazz technique, combinations, and dance games.

Bellydance & Jazz 2, Teens & Tweens. Students will enhance the basics of bellydance exploring music, movement and rhythms with a multitude of props, including  finger cymbals, veils, fan veils, tahtib and more. This class features more advanced bellydance and ballet/jazz technique, choreographies, and movement games.

Kids Ballet, Lyrical and Modern

Kids Ballet & Jazz, ages 6 & up. Learn the basics of dance technique through this exciting blend of ballet and jazz. Listen to your favorite pop songs and express yourself while growing strength and personality as a dancer.

Ballet ages 6 and up/ ages 9 & up combines classical ballet technique with fluid acrobatic movements. Ballet & Acro class helps students to increase their strength, control and flexibility. Beginners are welcome and modifications will be made for individual skill levels. Dancers are introduced to alignment, flexibility, and coordination as a way of furthering their dance.  Fun, creative elements such as stories, games and other imaginative activities keep exciting pace of the class lively and engaging. 

Kids Lyrical & Contemporary, ages 6 & up Students will be supported to review and improve dance technique and grow more confident dancing together through combos & choreography. Students will be introduced to basic improv and floorwork techniques while focusing on creative expression and musicality, allowing each dancer’s personality to shine through! This class is great for new students, rising Ladybugs & Butterflies, or any kiddo who loves music and movement! 

Kids Modern, ages 8 & up: Expressive Movement & Technique. Dive into the expressive world of modern dance! This class invites young dancers to explore grounded movement, creative choreography, and dynamic technique. With a focus on flow, emotion, and self-expression, students will learn how to tell stories with their bodies while building strength, flexibility, and artistry.

Kids Tap and Jazz

ages 6 & up This class will build the foundation of both tap and traditional jazz. A fun class to learn the basics of jazz along with tap technique and musicality. Early exposure to the musical patterns and unique mind-to-foot connection associated with tap & jazz dancing will allow students to recognize tempo & build off of the basic rhythms to more intricate movements and coordination.

Tiny Dancers, ages 3-6

Bumblebee Ballet & Tap, ages 4-6.  In this creative movement class, our young students will learn the basics of ballet and tap exploring music, movement and rhythms in creative, whimsical ways. This age appropriate class features ballet and tap technique, combinations, movement games, and an introduction to rhythms.

Creative Kids. Ages 3–5 | Creative Movement. Let your child’s imagination take the lead! In this playful class, little movers will explore the magic of dance through games, stories, and music. We’ll build coordination, confidence, and creativity in a nurturing environment where every wiggle and giggle is celebrated. Perfect for young dancers discovering the joy of movement!
